Old Home Day 2023

We asked folks how they would like Seabrook to be in 2030. They had plenty to say!

Seabrook celebrated Old Home Day on August 19, 2023, and we were there! We conducted a sticky dot poll, and asked Old Home celebrants a simple question: “How would you like Seabrook to be in 2030?”

Each of 77 participants was provided with 5 sticky dots to deploy however they wished, e.g. spread out into multiple responses, or alternately they could place all five on one response, if they felt strongly about it.

The most popular responses were Great Schools and Low Tax Rate, each garnering 37 sticky dots. Affordable Housing for Local People followed close behind with 35 sticky dots, while Safe drew 34 dots.

Other popular responses were Less Traffic (29), Budget Conscious (26), Preserve Open Space (23), Family Friendly (22), Friendly Welcoming (18), and Live Free or Die (17). The final tallies may be viewed in the photo to the right. Click the photo to enlarge it.

We managed to pull a lot of folks into the tent with our Where in Seabrook contest. The challenge posed for attendees was to identify 16 locations in Seabrook as seen from low altitude aerial photographs. Very few managed

to identify all 16 photos. Photos #10, 15 & 16 stumped many of the aerial sleuths. The Where in Seabrook posters are shown below. How many locations (all are in Seabrook) can you identify? Click to enlarge them.
